PRICING

The cost for on-site training is R10,000 per day. Maximum 15 delegates for computer training and 30 delegates for soft skills training. For individual course, see our elearning platform.

OUTLINE

Unit 1: Explain the concept of motivation and its importance in enhancing performance levels. 

Topic A: The term motivation is defined and discussed with examples. 

Topic B: Motivating triggers are discussed with examples. 

Topic C: Motivation is discussed in relation to its impact on performance levels. 

Topic D: The negative impact of demotivation is discussed with examples. 

Topic E: Typical indicators for measuring motivation levels are identified and selected for a leadership context. 

Topic F: Motivation is discussed from an inspirational perspective and the importance of inspiration in driving self and others is explained with examples. 

Unit 2: Explain and apply theories of motivation in a leadership context. 

Topic A: Two theories of motivation are compared in terms of how each enables people to be motivated in both the personal and work environment. 

Topic B: A theory is chosen and explained in terms of its application to self. 

Topic C: A theory is chosen and explained in terms of its application to a team. 

Topic D: A action plan is compiled to motivate self and others based on the chosen theories. 

Unit 3: Apply techniques to enhance self-motivation and leadership performance. 

Topic A: Self-motivation levels are analyzed and motivational problem areas identified in relation to leadership abilities. 

Topic B: A plan to enhance self-motivation is outlined and implemented within a given timeframe. 

Topic C: Techniques for sustaining self-motivation are identified and implemented in a leadership context. 

Topic D: Leadership principles and skills are applied to enhance self-motivation in work context. 

Topic E: Leadership principles and skills include but are not limited to resilience, consistency, goal setting and creating new challenges, creating and enabling environment.

Unit 4: Applying strategies to motivating others in a leadership context. 

Topic A: The techniques leaders can use to motivate a team are identified and applied in own work context. 

Topic B: The importance of leading by example is discussed and the concept of being a role-model in a leadership context is explained with examples. 

Topic C: The importance that recognition, information, communication, empathy, decision-making and environment plays in motivating others is discussed with examples. 

Topic D: The importance of creating a positive, conducive environment is discussed in relation to motivation. 

Topic E: Feedback mechanisms are identified and applied in order to effectively motivate others. 

Topic F: An action plan for motivating own work teams is outlined and implemented within given timeframes. 

Topic G: The concept of empowerment is discussed as it relates to the motivating others in a leadership context. 

Topic H: The role of personal success in inspiring self and others is discussed with examples.
